A former NYPD officer has been sentenced to 40 years in prison following his conviction last year of sexually assaulting two minor boys and of related offenses involving two others.
Christopher Terranova, 35, was a city cop when for more than three years starting in December 2019 he started using social media to meet and connect with underage boys. He used popular social media apps to contact boys he had met socially, online and while working as a cop, the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of New York said.
