Shaun Francois, the president of District Council 37's Local 372 has been re-elected to a fourth term — but three challengers have filed protest letters alleging that the election, a re-run of a June contest, was conducted unfairly.
Francois received 319 votes in the Sept. 12 election, while Anthony Gordon, who ran for president as an independent candidate, earned 101 votes, according to a Sept. 25 email from the local's election committee sent to the candidates. Larry Davis, who also ran for president, got nine votes. The election was conducted by Global Election Services, which printed 12,000 ballots and counted 455 valid votes in total.
