Former President Donald Trump’s claims that undocumented immigrants are taking away jobs from Black workers hasn’t shown to be true in New York City, according to a recent analysis by the Center for New York City Affairs.
During rallies and debates, the Republican Party’s standard bearer has repeatedly asserted that “millions and millions” of migrants across the country are taking away jobs from Black Americans. About 210,000 migrants have arrived in New York since the spring of 2022, with more than 64,300 migrants currently living under the city’s care.
