To the editor:
Right now, Zohran Mamdani is the right person for the second hardest job in our nation, the Mayor of New York City. If he lives up to his promises to those of us who voted for him, he will not permit any religion or religious group to be favored over another, and he will strive to make sure Muslims are treated equally, fairly, and with respect.

Zohran Mamdani is not the right person to be Mayor of New York City. His refusal to participate in the 2026 Israel Day Parade revealed his profound disrespect for Israel and the Jewish community. Consequently, he is unlikely to guarantee equal treatment for all religious groups.

According to Pew polls, only 37% of Americans have a favorable view of Israel, with 60% saying they have a somewhat or very unfavorable view. Does that mean that 6 in 10 Americans are anti-Semitic? Of course not.
Mamdani is making a public stand in protest of the Israeli government's military aggression against its neighbors. He is not disrespecting or displaying anomosity against Jewish New Yorkers.
That claim is untrue and conservatives need to stop trying to further divide us with this false equivalency.
