Technicians and mechanics at a Ford dealership in the Bronx walked out on strike Thursday morning in the hopes of getting management back to the bargaining table. The dozen striking workers at City World Ford, on Boston Road in Eastchester, unanimously voted to join United Auto Workers Local 259 in July of last year and participated in several bargaining sessions throughout the fall.
But those bargaining sessions went nowhere, Rafael Mota, a technician and member of the bargaining committee, told The Chief.
