To the editor:
For my money, the worst cowards and morons in the nation are not the immigrants deported and killed by Trump’s goons (aka ICE), but are those in the military (and retired) and police officers (and retired) who support Donald - the dirtbag - Trump (“dirtbag” is a cop’s word for a real a—hole). How could anyone in the military support a repulsive, draft-dodging coward who called dead soldiers in Arlington National Cemetery suckers and losers, and vote for such a repulsive punk?
Then, when General Mark Milley quoted the dirtbag, he called for Milley’s arrest, prosecution and execution. What putrid scum is leading our nation?
Is it a surprise that Trump would choose a ridiculous excuse for a man, Pete Hegseth, the testosterone twit, for his Secretary of Defense? He has the mind of a confused 5-year-old who pretends to defend our country, but really is loyal to the scum of the earth in the White House.
And you cops and retired cops who support the traitorous dirtbag, how can you side with a demented coward who led the Jan. 6 attack on our democracy that led to the death of five cops and hundreds of injuries to police officers? Are you stupid, or as corrupt as our dirtbag president?
Finally, the women voters for Trump! How can any woman support a misogynistic abuser of women, and the most prominent name in the Epstein files, most of which Trump won’t release, probably because if we know and prove the truth, Trump’s career and life as a free man would be over?
God bless America, and save our nation from Donald J. Trump and his evil cult followers.
The writer is a retired NYPD lieutenant and a Vietnam veteran (1967-68).

Trump's career as a free man would have been over if President Biden had insisted that Attorney General Merrick Garland do his job prosecute Trump for the insurrection. Trump once said "I could shoot a man on 5th Avenue and my supporters would still back me." Considering that many are still supporting him now, I suspect he would still have backers even if the complete, unredacted Epstein files were released.
