The MTA is accepting applications for structure maintainers - Group A, carpentry, through June 15 for practical skills testing expected to begin Sept. 2. The title pays $37.16 an hour for a 40-hour work week increasing to $43.72 per hour in the sixth year. The fee is $85.
A promotion examination for this title is being held for eligible NYC Transit employees. The names appearing on the promotion list will be considered first in filling vacancies.
