The Manhattan and Bronx Surface Transit Operating Authority is accepting applications for bus maintainers (chassis) in several depots through Aug. 15 for multiple-choice and practical exams scheduled for October. There is no application fee.
The current minimum starting salary for bus maintainers (chassis) in MaBSTOA is $33.84 per hour for a 40-hour work week, increasing to $39.81 per hour in the sixth year of service. The current minimum salary in MTA Bus Company is $27.87 per hour for a 40-hour work week, increasing to $39.81 per hour in the fourth year of service at the Yonkers, Eastchester, College Point, LaGuardia and Baisley Park Depots.
