Nearly 650 transit supervisors in Transport Workers Union Local 106 will receive 8-percent wage hikes and retroactive pay under a five-year contract approved last month by the Metropolitan Transportation Authority Board.
The pact hews closely to that negotiated last April by TWU Local 100, beginning in June 2013 and delivering 1-percent raises for 2013 and 2014, followed by 2-percent raises in each of the next three years. Those hikes compound to 8.25 percent.
