Everybody knows about some of the great battles in the boxing ring including Muhammad Ali beating George Forman and the Cinderella Man, James J. Braddock, beating then-champion, Max Baer, but few of these great fights could compare to our recent battle, President Donald J Trump vs Pope Leo XIV.
This is not just a one day fight, but it will probably go on and on, entertaining us every day. I think Pope Leo will help to bring Trump down, and this will be good for America and the whole world. It’s a war of morality v. evil, and the world will celebrate the defeat of the malignant narcissist, misogynist, and murderous xenophobe, Donald J. Trump.

Popes have traditionally wielded power from a distance, speaking above the noise. Engaging Trump directly risks eroding that distance, transforming a moral voice into just another voice in a crowded debate.
The result is a feud that neither side benefits from. Trump reduces moral disagreements to a test of strength, while Leo risks turning moral clarity into political theater.
We don’t need this. There’s room for both moral witness and political leadership, but they’re not the same thing. When one operates in the other’s arena, both lose something.
