Nearly 50 employees at the Brooklyn Museum will be laid off and top executives will have their pay trimmed as part of cost-cutting moves to close a budget gap at the cultural institution, museum management said.
Of the 47 employees set to be terminated, 19 are members of Local 1502 of District Council 37 and 21 are members of United Auto Workers Local 2110, with the remaining holding non-union and managerial roles, according to Local 1502 officials.
