A veteran home-health-care worker whose mother and husband died from kidney disease is now in need of a kidney herself.
Nili Raphael, 57, who worked for the Orange County Health Department as a home health aide for more than 30 years, is seeking a kidney donor. She was diagnosed with IgA kidney disease in November after her urologist grew concerned by her tests and discovered she had a 15-percent kidney function.
