City considering telework option in DC 37 contract talks

In-person policy cited for staff shortage

After adamantly refusing to allow a telework policy for municipal workers, the Adams administration is now considering the option for District Council 37 members, according to a memo from one of its locals.

In a letter to members posted on Local 371’s social media platforms the evening of Jan. 31, Carl Cook, the local’s vice president for negotiations and research, stated that the union brought forth several demands during the session, including the establishment of a remote work option for workers capable of fulfilling their tasks from home.
