New York City’s civic service program is back at full capacity and producing following a $3.2 million investment by the administration of former Mayor Eric Adams in September 2025 to sustain the program after the Trump administration took a torch to the federal government.
So far, the current NYC Civic Corps cohort of 132 members at 78 nonprofits and city agencies across the five boroughs has served more than 36,000 New Yorkers, contributed 76,042 hours of service and engaged 7,269 volunteers, according to the program. Members have pledged to help the city through community outreach, volunteer management and capacity building.
