88,136 bottles of hand sanitizer, 38,400 bottles of water, 15,000 masks; these are some of the items that an official appointed to fix the finances of Local 1182 of the Communications Workers of America purchased with union funds from a company he owned over a three-year period.
In total, Richard Morrison funneled more than $383,964 of union funds to his company Island Screenprint Corporation, according to a forensic audit commissioned by the current leadership of Local 1182, a union representing more than 2,000 traffic enforcement agents in New York City.
