Members of the New York City Deputy Sheriffs' Benevolent Association ratified a new 62-month labor agreement with the city featuring 18 percent raises over the lifetime of the deal, Mayor Zohran Mamdani announced Thursday, ending a contract dispute that had lasted for more than four years,
The contract, which runs retroactively from Jan. 1, 2022 through Feb. 28, 2027, includes compounded annual wage increases, higher starting salaries and additional funding for health and welfare benefits.
