EMS unions divided in bargaining, united in calls for uniform recognition

Last month, Mayor Eric Adams, standing behind a podium in the City Hall rotunda, proudly announced that his administration had reached a deal with Teamsters Local 831, the Uniformed Sanitationmen's Association, which represents 7,100 sanitation workers.
