FDNY ambulances took, on average, 13 minutes and nine seconds to respond to life-threatening medical emergencies in Fiscal Year 2026, over one minute and 48 seconds longer than the previous year, according to the Mayor's Management Report. It's the fifth year in a row that response times have increased.

The figure for the period between July 1, 2025, and June 30, 2026, is more than three minutes slower than the average response time in Fiscal year 2021, which was nine minutes and 34 seconds.
