City workers fired earlier this year for failing to comply with Covid vaccination mandates could be back at their desks if they get their jabs by Aug. 15.
Letters were sent to about 600 former city employees terminated in February and March saying that they will be brought back to their civil-service title and salaries once they prove that they have been fully vaccinated by that date. About 900 similar notices will be sent later this summer to Department of Education employees who also were fired for not following the de Blasio-era mandate, with the firings carried out by the succeeding Adams administration.
