The New York State Nurses Association is lobbying to boost staffing at city public hospitals and increase access to quality health care for the “other New York” as part of its next contract.
The contract for 8,500 nurses who work at New York City Health + Hospitals is set to expire June 5. NYSNA kicked off its campaign for a new deal in a Feb. 5 press conference at the Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture.
