Citing the need for cohesion and continuity, NYPD unions welcomed Commissioner Jessica Tisch’s decision to remain in the post as Zohran Mamdani, the near-antithesis of his law-order predecessor, prepares to take office.
The presidents of several of the cop unions saluted Tisch’s decision but also sounded cautionary notes.
