Payroll issues widespread, UPS workers say

Phil Martorana has spent 28 years handling packages inside of a UPS warehouse in Maspeth, Queens. During that time, he’s seen hundreds of coworkers come and go, UPS executive leadership change over and his union, the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, alternate between militancy and complacency. 

But what hasn’t changed since he started, Martorana told The Chief, are the widespread and frequent issues with payroll that Martorana and many of his coworkers' experience resulting in them losing out on wages owed to them.
