Teamsters push for fair UPS contract

The contract for more than 350,000 United Parcel Service workers doesn’t expire until the end of July 2023. But International Brotherhood of Teamsters locals across the country have already begun mobilizing to fight for a contract that includes raises and eliminates a two-tiered wage system for drivers.

The contract campaign in New York City kicked off Aug. 2 at the UPS Customer Center in Maspeth, Queens. Teamsters Local 804, which represents 8,000 UPS workers in the metro New York area, planned more than a dozen rallies this week.
