Two supervisors at Horizon Juvenile Detention Center have been charged with federal civil rights offenses after they allegedly attacked a 16-year-old detainee and tried to cover up the assault, prosecutors announced Wednesday.
Daquan Seymour and Rashawn Walker, both associate youth development specialists who worked at the Bronx facility, beat the teen following an April 25, 2022, confrontation between several staffers and juvenile residents, according to the office of the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York.
